Combating cyanobacteria in an aquarium
Aquarium cyanobacteria is not an algae despite its deceptive appearance.
It is indeed a bacterium, and nothing is impossible when it comes to fighting it, just patience.
I have had several aquariums with cyanobacteria, and it was defeated every time.
It appears as a blue-green gelatinous form and spreads at a crazy speed in our aquariums.

It can start to colonize the aquarium floor, as well as plants, roots, and rocks.
It can be introduced via already contaminated items (store-bought plants, rocks bought from a private seller, etc.) but also because of all these things:
- Poor aquarium management: water too polluted, not changed enough
- Lack of filtration: too many stagnant zones
- Aquarium temperature too high
- Poor balance of water parameters
How do I eradicate cyanobacteria from my aquarium?
I will suggest a simple and effective method that has proven itself many times.
1 - You will need to buy a bottle of anti-cyanobacteria: BLUE EXIT from Easylife
2 - You will need to unplug all your aquarium lights and CO2 system if you have one
3 - Wrap your aquarium entirely in cardboard so that no sunlight or light can penetrate. (Do not use blankets, sheets, or anything else; light passes through them)
The goal is to perform a 5-day treatment in total darkness using the dose recommended by Blue Exit Easy Life.
The cyanobacteria will lose vitality and shrink, then eventually die day after day.
Do not change the water for 15 days after the first dosage.
4 - From the first day, start administering the dose recommended by Easy Life until the 5th day.
Don't worry, your plants won't wither during these 5 days in the dark, quite the contrary.
5 - At the end of the treatment, there may be some cyanobacteria remains, but let nature take its course; it takes about 10 days to see the cyanobacteria die off completely.
If you see that the problem persists in 1, 2, or 3 months, add a preventive dose of 10ml every week per 80L of water
