Sliding tracks for aquarium lids – 2 mm glass
Easily create a sliding aquarium lid with this system of tracks for 2 mm glass panes, handcrafted by Shrimpsfood.
This system allows for the installation of two sliding panes to facilitate access to the aquarium for maintenance, feeding, or daily tasks, while maintaining a practical and discreet lid.
A two-part sliding track system
The system consists of two complementary elements:
- First part – 20 cm: intended for the front sliding pane.
- Second part – customizable length: intended for the rear sliding pane and adapted to the length of your aquarium.
The second part can be customized up to a maximum of 15 cm in the standard configuration. For larger dimensions or specific projects, custom manufacturing can be considered.

Installation
Install the tracks on your aquarium and then place the two panes into their respective rails. The panes can then slide one in front of the other to allow partial opening of the lid.
Before ordering, please check that your glass plates are indeed 2 mm thick.
